Shoes for Men

Men must look for shoes that are appropriate in the business casual workplace. Too casual can be unprofessional while too dressy can look out of place with chinos and jeans!

With that in mind, the latest shoes for men have square toes instead of wingtips and tend to have a more square and wide, not round, look. These shoes usually have wedge heels in rubber (more casual) or wood, as opposed to a separate heel. Many of these "casual" shoes are perfectly appropriate with dressier outfits. They are available in lace shoes, velcro and even elastic, slip-on shoes.

An interesting trend for men and women this year is the "bowling" look. Bowling-inspired shoes are very popular and are a fun, trendy addition to men's wardrobes this year. They are usually two-toned with lots of stitching and thick laces.

Remember: the right shoes are very important for men, particularly for making an impression professionally. Men's shoes should always match their outfits and should be in style.

While the general rule is that men should not wear sneakers to the office, no matter how casual their office may seem, designers have now developed a hybrid type of shoe that may be appropriate for professionals. These designers have partnered with major athletic companies to develop sporty street shoes that have a high style look. These hybrid shoes have started to appear in stores and have sold out quickly, with some stores saying they are among the top-selling shoes. Their appeal is that they are both comfortable and fashionable.
